Human and Healing Justice Summit 2025: A Pan Afrikan Liberation Praxis in this era of Counter Insurgency Warfare
The Kabaka, Alice and Luqmon Institute of Non Traditional Approaches to Human and Healing Justice Presents The 2025 Human and Healing Justice Summit: Re-Establishing and Continuing A Pan Afrikan and Liberation Praxis in this era of Counter Insurgency Warfare is a two-day event that will bring together ancestors, elders of liberation movements, youth, organizers, community leaders, community based organizations, scholars, policy makers, artists, activists, advocates, parents, community residents and more to share our stories, skills, vulnerabilities, truths, survival strategies and healing practices from a Pan Afrikan and Liberation Praxis in this era of Counter Insurgency Warfare to advance the work of grassroots and cultural practices of wellness, and leadership for the Black Liberation and the liberation of all oppressed peoples. This summit aims to deepen community specific organizing and power building related to liberation teachings, worldview, and praxis to bring awareness of the critical issues happening within the community in New York City, across the country and internationally.
The Healing Justice summit is focused on strengthening the community dialogue around pressing concerns and critical issues within the works of Healing Justice to create more constructive strategies to move forward. The Summit aims to strengthen the network of those applying Non Traditional Approaches that do not rely on the state and/or philanthropy but rely on our culture, elders, and ancestors' works. We hope to contribute to building, strengthening and honoring the Healing Justice Movement with summit participants.
This year’s Healing Justice Summit will bring community together to share approaches, frameworks, learned lesson and praxis that are accountable to historical trauma, on going trauma and counter-insurgency warfare that continues to produce our present day realities such as the long history of the prison industrial complex, patriarchy, Non Profit leadership within Black communities, and the Mis-education of community members. The summit will also address the impacts of state-sanctioned attacks on poor individuals and families, youth, women of color, trans-folks, formerly incarcerated people, elderly people, people using drugs and low-income communities of color in general. This Healing Justice Summit seeks to create a platform to heal, organize, heal and organize toward building movements for liberation.
