Afrikan Sacred Science
Afrikan Sacred Science, is Black peoples’ understanding of nature; explaining millions of years of systematic observing cosmology + ecology through Afrikan-Indigenous eyes to develop the origins of humanity and civilization (Diop, 1956). The documentation of Afrikan Sacred Science is at least 200 years old; The Legacy has been passed down by Afrikan/Black/Indigenous elders and ancestors for generations (1827; Winter, 2022). In 1926, Drusilla Dunjee Houston, a self-taught Afrikan (her)historian, challenged scientific racism by articulating that “The World is a Lie” in her seminal book “The Wonderful Ethiopians of the Ancient Cushite Empire.” This work revealed hidden/buried wisdom of the great Cushite Empire developing/founding many civilizations all across the anicent worlds. Generations later, Dr. John Henry Clark, said, “the missing pages of world history is Black history.” These analyses speak to the erasure as well as the remembrance of Afrikan Sacred Science.
Afrikan Sacred Science stands on the shoulders of master teachers such as Sobonfo Some, Dr, Asa Hilliard; Zora Neale Nelson, Dr. Ben-Jochannan, Dr James Turner, Ella Baker, Queen Mother Moore and Dr. Mutulu Shakur. Afrikan Sacred Science stands on the cultural and empirical works of Dr. Cheikh Anta Diop groundbreaking Afrikan-Centered scholarship, and the production of his seminal book, The African Origins of Civilization (1956). Afrikan Sacred Science is a remembrance of Afrikan lineage (all 3 million + years) of genetic memory, and centers this knowledge for “Community Specific” practice to heal and fight against (her)historical trauma - pulling from a praxis of Black Liberation science, ancestral teachings, Community Specific lineages and genetic memories.
Afrikan Sacred Science represents Black peoples long history of Pan-Afrikan knowledge(s) systems of nature, civilization development, cosmology, and ancestors traditions, that are integral to Black people's fight and healing from The Afrikan Maafa/The WAR.
