About The Institute

The Kibaka and Luqmon Institute of Non Traditional Approaches to Human and Healing Justice developed by How Our Lives Link Altogether! (H.O.L.L.A!) synthesizes four (4) critical frameworks/concepts: 1) The WAR;  2) The Non Traditional Approach to Criminal and Social Justice/Human Justice (Ellis, 1990 & White, 2022); 3) Healing Justice (Page & Woodland, 2023); and 4) Afrikan Sacred Science (Somé, 2000) that place Afrikan epistemology, Black radical feminist traditions, and “Community Specific” praxis of resurrection/healing and fighting against THE WAR at the center of Afrikan youth and community development. The Legacy that The Kibaka and Luqmon Institute stands on has a strong track record of providing grassroots community, training, personal development, community transformation, “Community Specific” program development, technical assistance, family building, and movement building to a variety of institutions, community-based organizations, social services agencies and people from various lifestyles, geography, and professional backgrounds. The Kibaka and Luqmon Institute shares non-traditional teaching/pedagogy from our personal, scholarly, and organizational experiences as strategic consultation, and training - towards personal resurrection, community organizing and grassroots movement building tatics for liberation. This includes but not are limited to: Trainings on The Non Traditional Approach to Human and Healing Justice and The Afrikan -Centered Analysis of Healing Justice and Afrikan-Centered Participatory Action Research. As a working class institution, The Kibaka and Luqmon Institute is developed as a “Community Specific approach of capital development to assist/sustain local works that were developed by the institution in the first place. The Institute aims to establish an empirical practice of Non Traditional Approaches and “resurrection strategies” to push a grassroots analysis into mainstream institutions serving Black/Brown/Indigenous working class communities. The Kibaka and Luqmon Institute seeks to share Afrikan-Centered worldviews, grassroots movement methodology and analysis to fill gaps within traditional institutional practice, community based organizational development, and local community culture! We do this for our Elders, Ancestors and Future!
